PURPOSE: To provide a freezer for freezing of a pasty product, by providing on a freezer a mechanism for applying water droplets on the product on an external surface of the drum, and providing a mechanism for preventing water droplets from adhering to the drum.
CONSTITUTION: An interruption valve 19 and a control valve 18 are opened to incorporate liquid nitrogen into an internal cylinder 12 through a pipe 16 and a spray nozzle 17 and draw out water droplets on the liquid nitrogen along the internal cylinder 12 together with nitrogen vapor and discharge the same radially outwardly with an axial air fan 14. When the exhaust gas reaches desired regulated temperature, an electric motor 3 is actuated to rotate a drum 2. A valve 9 is opened to take liquid eggs into a water droplets dispencer 5 from a tank 7 through a pipe 8. Simultaneously, the valve 19 is controlled to lower exhaust gas temperature. Water droplets 23 are dropped on a groove 4 and surfaces of the water droplets are solidified owing to cold air on the drum 2. The liquid eggs form granules that are prevented from adhering to each other, and are frozen as the drum is rotated, and are dropped down with ease while leaving overlapped grain products 25. The granules not dropped are removed with a light weight scraper 26.
