Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article holding device 11 capable of holding an article W with the article centered.
SOLUTION: Paired hand bodies 18 are provided in such a manner as to be movable to a base body 12 while performing contacting/separating movement in a first centering direction and in a sliding manner in a second centering direction Y extending orthogonally to the first centering direction. Paired palm bodies 19 are provided at the base body 12 separably movably in the second centering direction Y. Through approach of the paired hand bodies 18 the article W is held in a manner to be centered in the first centering direction and by approach of the paired palm bodies 19, the article W is slid to the base body 12 together with the hand body 18 and held in a manner to be centered in the second centering direction Y. Thus, the article W can be held at the base body 12 in a state to effect centering from the four quarters.
