A material management system MMS is arranged in a place for lending an article MAT, and when the rental procedure of the article MAT is executed in a booth BTH, an article information processor RW records rental procedure information Irnt and taking-out permission information Ipmt in a memory means Mem of an information tag TF attached to the article MAT. When taking out the article MAT from a gate GT to the outside of the rental place, a taking-out management device TOM inspects the contents recorded in the tag TF, and when the information Ipmt is recorded in the tag TF, the article MAT is passed as valid taking-out. If the information Ipmt is not recorded, the taking-out recognized as illegal taking-out and an alarm ALM is driven to inform of the illegal taking-out.
