Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article molded by in-mold decorating method, a manufacturing method thereof, and a mold for in-mold decorating which do not require much cost for molding equipment and hardly cause impairment of a pattern layer and the molded article itself.
SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing an article molded and decorated simultaneously, first a pattern sheet 1 is disposed at a position where a first cavity space 12 is formed. A mold tool 10 and a mold tool 11 are closed and the first cavity space 12 where the pattern sheet 1 is disposed, second cavity spaces 13 where the pattern sheet 1 is not disposed and a molten resin runner space are formed as a single space. By injecting molten resin from an injection port 9 of the mold tool 10 thereafter, the molten resin is filled in the first cavity space 12 and the second cavity spaces 13 through the molten resin runner space. After the molten resin is cooled and hardened, the mold tool 10 and the mold tool 11 are opened and an article molded and patterned simultaneously wherein a first molded article part 26 having a pattern layer joined integrally simultaneously with injection molding and a second molded article part 27 having no pattern layer formed are connected by a sprue runner molded article part 28 is taken out.
