To improve reading performance of an IC tag by an antenna incorporated into a shelf board of a book shelf.

The book shelf 10 includes a first shelf board 2. A book 8 to which the IC tag 12 is attached is mounted on the first shelf board 2. The first shelf board 2 includes a first loop antenna 14 which is formed substantially in parallel with a mounting surface 2a on which the book 8 is mounted. The book shelf 10 includes a bookend type booster 4. The bookend type booster 4 includes a second loop antenna 16 which is formed substantially in parallel with a surface intersecting the mounting surface 2a to cooperate with the first loop antenna 14 when communication with the IC tag 12 is performed. Power is supplied to the first loop antenna 14. The second loop antenna 16 receives electromagnetic waves emitted from the first loop antenna 14 to emit the electromagnetic waves.
