A roller support Rs which supports a movable roller R for placing and supporting an article B in a manner capable of freely conveying the article by abutting against a bottom of the article B in a freely rotatable manner about a horizontal axial center orthogonal to a conveying direction, can be elevated and lowered integrally with the movable roller R relative to an upper member Pj, and can freely be switched between a lowered position in which an upper end of the movable roller R is positioned between an article placing surface Pf and a lower member Ps and an elevated position in which it is positioned above the article placing surface Pf. The support roller Rs is switched so that it is in a transfer action state by causing a push-up member Dp abutting against the roller support Rs from below to approach the upper member Pj, and the roller support Rs is in a retracted state by separating the push-up member Dp from the upper member Pj.
