To provide an article positioning device capable of positioning while aligning the center position of an article with a reference position of a target conveyance site, even if the size difference of two kinds of articles is small.

The article positioning device is configured in such a way that as a receiving means, the regular conveyance receiving means and the reverse conveyance receiving means are provided in association with each of two kinds of articles having different sizes in the conveyance direction, and a control means (H1) controls the conveyance action of the conveyance means (6a) and the switching action of the receiving means so that for the article having the size to be received by the regular conveyance receiving means, the article is conveyed in the regular conveyance condition and received by the regular conveyance receiving means, and for the article having the size to be received by the reverse conveyance receiving means, the article is conveyed in the regular conveyance condition until the center position in the conveyance direction is over the standard position of the target conveyance site and then the article is conveyed in the reverse conveyance condition and received by the reverse conveyance receiving means.
