Abstract:
PURPOSE: To give a user smoking feel and effects without burning a cigarette by composing it with fuel member, an aerosol generating means and inorganic fibers equipped with an insulator surrounding the fuel member and wrapped with a paper. CONSTITUTION: The fuel member 10 as well as a supporter 30 is placed the inside of a ring shaped jacket 86 made from insulating fiber such as ceramic fiber. The fuel member 10 has channels 16 and its firing end 11 extends slightly out of the jacket 86 end to make it easier to light. The supporter 30 and the end of the fuel member 10 are surrounded with a tip of aluminum foil 87. A unit of the fuel member with jacket and supporter are wrapped up with a conventional cigarette paper 46 and connected to a mouthpiece such as a thin cellulose acetate tube 40. When putting a light, the fuel member 10 generates a heat on burning, which causes to vaporize the aerosol forming elements in the aerosol generating means. The volatile substances are sucked toward the mouthpiece in inhalation, further sucked into the user's mouth like conventional cigarette smoke.
