PURPOSE: To make it possible to install closely faced on a room wall an article storing furniture whose top of the article storing section is provided with a top plate.

CONSTITUTION: An article storing furniture whose boxes are used to store articles, which consists of side plates 1, a bottom plate 2, a rear plate 3 and a top plate 4, wherein a protrusion 6 protruding to rear direction as much as an arbitrary length from the rear end of the article storing section is disposed on the top plate. Otherwise, a second top plate may be installed on the top plate protruding from the rear end of the article storing section separately from the top plate. Since a truss plank is housed in a space below the protrusion, the rear end of the protrusion can be installed closely faced on a wall on which the furniture is installed. The protrusion length can be adjusted according to thickness of the truss plank by making the top plate or the second top plate slidable in the forward and rearward directions.
