PURPOSE: To provide an article transportation device of an automatic vending machine, which can transport a long article with a small stroke with a comparatively simple constitution and is provided with an article pilferage preventing function.

CONSTITUTION: The article transportation device of the automatic vending machine is provided with a storage part 11 storing the articles by stacking them in the vertical direction and a means which is provided at the lower part of the storage part 11, converts the movement of a driving crank 3 rotating in the horizontal direction into the movement of a driving link 2 in the vertical direction, moves the stored articles to a crossing direction so as to sequentially transport the article at a lower-most part by reciprocating movement of a transportation slider 1 installed at the tip of the driving link 2 in a rectilinear direction. A flapper board 8 which is pivoted to the tip of the transportation slider 1 so that it can freely be rotated is provided so that it can move forwards and backwards with the shift of the transportation slider 1.
