This artificial bait is obtained by covering the artificial bait body with a skin material using a cloth for stockings. The artificial bait body is formed out of a plastic so as to have transparency or translucency. The artificial bait body is covered with the skin material in a state in which the cloth for the stockings is elongated so that a pattern of the cloth for the stockings may appear. A small-diameter rod-shaped part for fixing the skin material covering the artificial bait body by means of a thread is formed at a terminal part of the artificial bait body at the opposite side to a hook-fixing side.
