Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an artificial bait impairing no fishing effect while maintaining its sufficient mechanical strength by symmetrically sandwiching a core material such as woven fabric with solidified cuttlefish internal organ.
SOLUTION: This artificial bait is obtained by symmetrically sandwiching a core material 5 such as woven fabric with bait materials 3, 3 prepared by solidifying cuttlefish internal organ with gelatin or agar; specifically, this artificial bait is produced by the foil-owing process: cuttlefish internal organ is mixed with a coagulant such as gelatin or agar-agar followed by heating and then cooling to normal temperatures to effect solidification; in this case, the core material 5 is sandwiched between the bait materials 3, 3 followed by processing into a form of rod, plate or ball shape using an appropriate mold.
