PURPOSE: To provide an artificial breast with appearance and touch equal to those of a true breast and avoid harmful effects that may be caused by the weight thereof by constituting the artificial breast of a lightweight core material occupying not less than half the capacity of the whole, an outer-layer material with large elasticity and softer than the lightweight core material, and a silicon coat covering the outer surface of the outer-layer material.

CONSTITUTION: An artificial breast 4 has a reverse face 6 which is applied to a breast excised part 2 and a surface 8 formed as an imitation of one true breast B. The inside of the artificial breast 4 is formed into a three-layer structure consisting of a flexible, shape-retaining lightweight core material 10, an elastic outer-layer material 12 softer than the lightweight core material 10 and a silicon coat 14 covering the outer surface of the outer-layer material 12 and the lightweight core material 10 is so formed as being large enough to occupy more than half the capacity of the whole artificial breast 4. Foam rubber which is porous rubber is used as the lightweight core material 10 and oil jelly as the outer-layer material 12. A base member 16 which is stuck to the breast excised part 2 is formed into the shape of a tape from a soft silicone resin and an adhesion face 18 to which an adhesive composed mainly of a medical silicone resin easily sticking to the skin is applied is formed on the reverse face of the base member 16.
