Resinous material for fiber, whose main ingredient is polybutylene-telephtarate, is mingled with 0.3 wt.%-3.0 wt.% of silvery ceramics particle with grain diameter of 5.0 μm or less. A single fiber, obtained after melt spinning and extension treatment, is cut at a suitable length and is made into artificial hair by forming a hair root at one end of it. Mechanical delustering is occasionally performed on the surface of the single fiber.
