Title:
ARTIFICIAL HAND
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3893453
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial hand capable of rotating the whole of a plurality of fingers satisfactorily with a small motor by reducing the size of the radius of gyration of rotation.
SOLUTION: This artificial hand has a plurality of fingers 11, 12 facing each other; a support part 13 for rotatably supporting the fingers; a motor 21 placed at a grip part 14 integrated with a core support part; a converter for converting the rotational output of the motor into parallel motion; and a finger opening/closing operation part for converting the parallel motion of the converter into the opening/closing operation of the fingers. A terminal device 15 held to a wrist part 5 and having a holding part 41 for holding the support part rotatably is provided above a driving device or at its upper part. A rotating mechanism having the other motor 42 provided at a core terminal device is provided for converting the rotational output of the other driving device into the rotary motion of the support part and rotating the fingers and the driving device around the holding part.
