Title:
ARTIFICIAL KNEE JOINT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3249062
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy surgically operational joint, which does not damage a prosthetic part by expanding the cross section of a hollow area at a tibia region from the deepest point of the hollow area to a slot of a tibia plateau, toward a direction of the tibia plateau.
SOLUTION: An expanded area 46 is set on a part of axis direction of a hollow part 12 of a tibia 2 and is cut in a little deeper. A thigh bone region 3 and an inlay 31 are inserted arranging their positions toward the axis direction of a tibia plateau 6. The inlay 31 and a supporting face side edge 33 of the tibia plateau 6, thereby, are positively jointed. The hollow part 12 which is composed of an axis direction part 40 and the expanded area 46 is formed in the tibia plateau 6. This expanded area 46, which is made extended forward from the axis direction part 40 and positioned at a depth of an extended part of a tibia shaft 4, is being shaped expanding oblong like a cross cut face of a slot 41. And it is made to have a cross section of a substantially circular and symmetric shape. It is just as good to make it that sidewalls 47 and 48 of the hollow area 12 are extending to upward, forward and toward a direction of the tibia plateau 6.
