Abstract:

To mount a large antenna reflector on an artificial satellite.

In the artificial satellite having a payload unit with a payload appliance mounted thereon, a bath unit with appliances to maintain the functions of the satellite mounted thereon, and a center cylinder to support the entire satellite, the payload unit and the bath unit are independent from each other, and the width between north and south sides of the payload unit is set to be smaller than the width between the north and south sides of the bath unit. An antenna holding structure is provided on the center cylinder at a boundary part between the payload unit and the bath unit. A large antenna reflector can be mounted, and the antenna orientation can be stably maintained.
