PURPOSE: To passively compensate the turbulence of attitude by solar radiation pressure and its fluctuation in a spin stabilized artificial satellite.
CONSTITUTION: An artificial satellite 1 is rotates about an axis oriented approximately North-South. The artificial satellite 1 is provided with a plurality of columns 9 of solar cells 5 on the outer wall 4, and the groups of the solar cells 5 are divided into groups G1, G2, G3 so as to supply predetermined voltages. In each of the groups G1, G2, G3, the solar cells straddle two columns 9 electrically connected by at least two electrical connection parts 10. The two connection parts 10 form an electrical loop with the group to which the connection part 10 belongs. The direction of current flow is the same for at least the majority of the electrical loop groups. The direction of current flow is selected so that the loops which are irradiated at this time by the sun, by virtue of interaction with a terrestrial magnetic field, produce a compensating torque in the opposite direction of the solar radiation pressure torque.
