To produce an artificial stone having plural small holes at a low cost by casting a mixture of a constituent material for an artificial stone part with fibers into a mold, solidifying the mixture and then dissolving and removing the fibers.
A mixture of a constituent raw material for an artificial stone part such as a waste molding sand, a cement and a roasted dust with water, water glass and fibers 13 is cast into a mold containing embedded materials such as reinforcing bars 5, granite porphyry 9, etc., arranged therein to embed the reinforcing bars 5 in the mixture and the granite porphyry 9 in a state thereof exposed from the surface of the mixture therein. The embedded materials are solidified to form the artificial stone part 3, which is then immersed in a solvent to dissolve and remove the fibers 13. Thereby, small holes 11 are formed.
