In the artificial stone material with a two-layer or three-layer structure manufactured by using a cement-based inorganic material and a silicic acid-containing substance as main raw materials, a surface layer or the surface and back surface layers of the artificial stone material are molded by using a granulated article granulated by using the cement-based inorganic material and the silicic acid-containing substance as the main raw materials, mixing these raw materials and granulating the mixture and a core layer thereof is molded by using the cement-based inorganic material, the silicic acid-containing substance and a wooden reinforcing material as the main raw materials. In addition, a thickening agent is incorporated into the granulated article and the wooden reinforcing material is a dry pulp.
