Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial tooth that presents an opal effect further approximated to a natural tooth in the cutting edge, etc.SOLUTION: An artificial tooth 1 has an enamel layer where a labial enamel layer 4a and a lingual enamel layer 4b are joined in the cutting edge. The labial enamel layer and the lingual enamel layer are formed by polymerization and curing of a resin matrix monomer of a composition containing 20-180 pts.wt. of an organic filler and 0.01-20 pts.wt. of an inorganic filler having an average particle size of 0.11-0.25 μm to 100 pts.wt. of the resin matrix monomer. The labial enamel layer and the lingual enamel layer are formed by a composition different in the composition, and a color tone expressed by an opal effect in the transmitted light is different.
