Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a new compd. useful as an antiarrhythmia.
CONSTITUTION: The compd. is expressed by formula I. In formula I, A is phenyl, thienyl, furanyl, naphthyl, etc.; R1 is H, lower alkyl, etc.; R2 is H, benzyl, etc.; R3 is Yp-(CH2)m-Xn-R8 (Y is -NH, -O-, etc.; p is 0, 1; m is 0 to 7; X is -S-, -O-, etc.; n is 0, 1; R8 is H, phenyl, etc.); R4 is H, lower alkyl, etc.; R5 is H, halogen, etc. The compd. is, for example, 4,5-dihydro-4-methyl-1-phenyl-3-(2-phenylethyl)-1 H-2,4-benzodiazepine. The compd. of formula I is obtd. by allowing a compd. expressed by formula II [R3a is (Ya)p-(CH2)m-(Xa)n-R8; Ya is O, S, etc.; Xa is S, SO2 etc.; R5b is H, lower alkyl, etc.], or a compd. expressed by formula III to react with a trialkylaluminum.
