Abstract:

To provide a production method which is industrially advantageous and can provide aryldichlorophosphine in a short process in high yield.

The method of producing aryldichlorophosphine represented by the general formula (1) comprises: a metal substitution reaction between an aryl group-containing lithium compound represented by the general formula (2) and a metal chloride represented by the general formula (3); and a subsequent reaction between the resultant metal-substituted aryl group-containing metal compound and phosphorus trichloride. (In the formula, R represents an aryl group which may have a substituent; and M represents a metal atom selected from among magnesium and zinc.)
