To suppress the exhaustion of a vessel used under a high temperature corrosive atmosphere in an ash melting furnace.
The ash melting furnace comprises a vessel having conductivity for heating and melting ash with which the vessel is charged to form and exhaust molten slag, a fireproof liner provided inside the vessel to cover the inner surface of the vessel, and an electromagnetic induction means provided in the outside of the vessel to inductively heat the vessel in accordance with an electromagnetic induction. The fireproof liner is divided into at least a part with which the inner surface of an area where the interface of the molten slag is located is covered at least in the vessel and a part with which the inner surfaces of other areas except this area are covered. The fireproof liner forming the part with which the inner surface of the area where the interface of the molten slag is located is covered is formed with a fireproof material excellent in corrosion resistance, divided into a plurality of parts and detachably provided in the vessel.
