Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ash melting furnace which surely prevents unmelted ash from flowing out.
SOLUTION: In a status where an ash melting furnace body 1 is filled with ash dust, the ash dust can be transmitted by the long wavelength infrared light of a monitoring image pickup device 21. Thus, the inside state of the furnace body 1 being filled with ash dust, particularly unmelted ash 26 can be monitored through the image pickup device 21. Accordingly, a means for preventing flowing-out of the unmelted ash 26 does not have to be performed until the unmelted ash 26 is recognized through the image pickup device 21, so that prevention of flowing-out of the unmelted ash 26 is ensured. Further, protrusions 40, 42 can check the advance of the unmelted ash 26 toward the side of a slag outlet 8 to surely prevent the unmelted ash 26 from flowing out.
