Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a miniature displacement amplifying mechanism which can convert the displacement of a multilayer piezoelectric element with high efficiency and no loss due to rattling, can amplify the displacement upto a level applicable on a camera and the like, and can easily be manufactured. CONSTITUTION:The displacement amplifying mechanism comprises a multilayer piezoelectric element 1 utilizing longitudinal piezoelectric effect, a member 2 for holding the piezoelectric element, and a thin spring board 3 for amplifying the displacement. The amplifying spring member 3 having arm sections 3b, 3b' and bridge sections 3e, 3e' is integrally secured, in four bent parts thereof, to the opposite ends of the holding member 2 secured to the multilayer piezoelectric element 1 through adhesion or welding. An amplified displacement is taken out from an output section 3d.
