Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ashtray capable of preventing smoking caused by failing to extinguish fire unintentionally, checking spread of fire and simply cleaning thereafter in an ashtray to be laid in a hall.
SOLUTION: Intermediate saucers are laid at an upper stage, a middle stage and a lower stage in an outer container 2 of an ashtray 1. The intermediate saucer 4 at the middle stage is equipped with a plurality of holes 4d of a size to drop ash lump (m), the intermediate saucer 3 at the upper stage is provided with a plurality of round holes 3b of a size to pass transporting granules 11 smaller than the diameter of a cigarette. A lift device 6 for sending the transporting granules 11 in the intermediate saucer 4 at the middle stage and throwing them into the intermediate saucer 3 at the upper stage to pack the intermediate saucers 3 and 4 with the transporting granules 11. When a cigarette butt (n) is dropped in the intermediate saucer 3, the cigarette butt (n) is held in the intermediate saucer 3 by the recycling transporting granules 11, spread of fire is prevented due to lack of contact with other cigarettes and the cigarette butt is extinguished. The ash lump (m) is dropped from the holes 4d and held on the intermediate saucer 5. When cleaning, the intermediate saucer 3 is taken out, the cigarette butt (n) is recovered and the intermediate saucers 4 and 5 are taken out to recover the ash lump (m).
