To provide an asphalt compsn. which is homogeneous and is prevented from sagging by adding, to asphalt, a specified amt. of a crushing product obtd. by crushing paper laminated to or coated with a resin.
The asphalt is used as a compsn, comprising an asphalt component and an aggregate, etc. A resin to be applied or laminated to paper is at least one resin selected from polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride, etc., polyethylene and polypropylene being pref. Pref., the paper crushing product is added in a wt. ratio to the asphalt component of (3/100)-(20/100). In the case of a road pavement material, the wt. ratio of a paper-derived cellulosic component to the asphalt component is pref. (4/100)-(10/100). It is important that the resin laminated or applied is crushed to about the same size as the crushing of paper proceeds and that the state of paper attached to the resin is maintained.
