Title:
ASPHALT COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000265069
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an asphalt composition excellent in viscoelastic properties, abrasion resistance, peeling resistance, etc,, by compounding asphalt, a carbon filler obtained as soot in burning waste tires, and an aggregate, each in a specified amount.

This composition comprises 70-95 pts.wt. asphalt, 5-30 pts.wt. waste-tire carbon filler obtained as soot in burning waste tires, and an aggregatge. Preferably, the carbon filler has a particle size of 1 mm or lower. In obtaining this carbon filler, waste tires are burned at about 600-800°C in a non-oxygen (or low-oxygen) atmosphere; as a result, the problems with the soot and smoke generated in burning, with the durability of an incinerator, and with the ash of burnt waste tires can be sufficiently cleared up. In addition, this composition exhibits soundproofness, freezing prevention effect, and snow- melting action and is prepared at a cost meeting market requirements.
