Abstract:
To reduce an environmental load while inhibiting the occurrence of "rutting" on a paved surface, by employing an asphalt concrete composition for a pavement, using kenaf fibers.
This asphalt concrete composition for the pavement includes an asphalt mixture and a plant fiber body; and the content of the plant fiber body is 0.7 wt.% or less based on the asphalt mixture. The plant fiber body is the kenaf fibers Kf with an average fiber length of 0.1-20 mm, which are dispersed in an asphalt layer formed from the asphalt mixture, or a kenaf fiber mesh sheet Ks which is interposed between two upper and lower asphalt layers formed from the formed from the asphalt mixture.
