PURPOSE: To provide the aspherical spectacle lens which is a spectacle lens with plural diopters that is used principally by a farsighted person or presbyopic person, and superior in optical performance, thin in the outward appearance, and flat on the whole.

CONSTITUTION: The aspherical spectacle lens, which is equipped with a pair of front and rear refracting surfaces 1 and 2 while the front refracting surface is in a rotationally symmetric shape and has plus diopters, decreases in the value of a curvature difference Z in an area of at least 20mm from the axis 3 of rotational symmetry to the outer periphery of the lens, where ρm (m-1) is the curvature of the meridian surface of the front refracting surface, ρs (m-1) is the curvature of a spherical segment surface crossing the meridian surface at right angles, and the difference Z in curvature between the both is ρm-ρs.
