To provide an assembling carrying device which accurately assembles components to a vehicle body.
The assembling carrying device 10 includes a chain conveyor 1, a hanger 2, a self-traveling carriage 3, and a robot 4. The hanger 2 suspends the vehicle body W and is pulled on the chain conveyor 1. The self-traveling carriage 3 is loaded with the vehicle body W together with the hanger 2, and reciprocates on a component assembling line AL. The robot 4 moves in synchronization with the self-traveling carriage 3. The engagement of the chain conveyor 1 with the hanger 2 is released in the starting end part of the component assembling line AL, and the chain conveyor is engaged again with the hanger 2 in the terminal end part of the component assembling line AL. Thereby, the assembling carrying device 10 can accurately assemble the components to the vehicle body W without transmitting the vibration of a power chain 12 to the vehicle body W while assembling the components to the vehicle body W.
