PURPOSE: To facilitate the insertion of longitudinal members by a method wherein a stand for transverse members is moved vertically along a column which is provided on a truck in a slantable manner, and the poition of the transverse members is adjusted by regulating the inclination of the column and the vertical position of the stand.
CONSTITUTION: The column 13 is provided on the truck 12 moved on rails in such a manner that the column 13 can be slanted by a hydrauilic cylinder 14, and the stand 15 for the transverse members is provided in such a manner that it can be moved vertically along the column 13. The stand 15 is provided with rotatable pawls 16 for clamping a lower part of the transverse member. While clamping the lower parts of the transverse members, for example, transverse members 21, 22 and the like by keeping the pawls 16 in closed conditions, the stand 15 is moved vertically along the column 13 and the inclination angle of the column 13 is regulated by the cylinder 14 to bring the transverse members 21, 22, etc. into the positions suitable for easily inserting the longitudinal members 31, 32, etc., thereby facilitating the assembling process.
