To provide a method and a device for assembling a tapered roller bearing improved in the assembling efficiency, while avoiding a trouble such as a wrench-off of a pre-load torque adjusting nut in a tapered roller bearing assembling process.

This tapered roller bearing assembling method contains a first press-in process of pressing a first inner lathe 92 into a shaft body 91, a second press-in process of pressing a second inner lathe 93 into the shaft body, and a fastening process of fastening a nut 96 to be threaded with a screw 912 formed in the peripheral surface 916 of the shaft body 91 and to be screwed to a side surface of the second inner lather 93 to narrow a space between the first inner lathe 92 and the second inner lathe 93. In the second press-in process, the second inner lathe 2 is pressed into the shaft body, while measuring a press-in load.
