Title:
ASSEMBLY CAM SHAFT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61248912
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent foreign objects from being bitten when molding a bulge by forming a hole section having a polygonal cross section on the through hole of a cam piece and providing truncated-conical chamfer sections flaring gradually toward the side face on both sides of this hole section. CONSTITUTION:A polygonal hole section 23 having a hexagonal cross section is provided nearly at the center in the axial direction on the through hole 22 of a cam piece 6, and truncated-conical chamfer sections 7, 8 flaring gradually toward the side face of the cam piece 6 are formed smoothly in contact with both sides of this hole section 23. Therefore, when a hollow shaft 2 is inserted into the through hole 22 for bulge-machining, no gap is generated between the outer periphery of the hollow shaft 2 and chamfer sections 7, 8, thus no foreign objects are bitten, and each cam piece 6 is firmly fixed to the hollow shaft 2.
