To accurately and easily secure a guide pipe for guiding a brake cable inserted from the reverse of a backing plate to a brake lever side, in a given position on the backing plate, when connecting the brake cable to the brake lever.

A guide pipe 46 has one end positioned by a mounting hole 12h in a backing plate 12, and the other end positioned by a pipe clamp portion 80 of an anchor plate 76, and a locking tongue 84 on the guide pipe 46 is engaged in an engaging hole 82 formed in the pipe clamp portion 80. The insertion amount of the guide pipe 46 inserted from the reverse of the backing plate 12 is limited by a stopper 86 so that the engaging hole 82 and the locking tongue 84 can engage with each other.
