Abstract:

To provide an assembly for forming jackets for book elements of different dimensions in a functional manner.

The present invention relates to an assembly (10) for realizing in continuous covering jackets (11) for book elements (12) of different dimensions starting from a film (13) wrapped up in a coil. The assembly (10) includes: cutting means (25, 35) for cutting the film unrolling from the coil (14) for realizing pieces (16) of the film; a first folding device (17, 27, 37) for folding a first end (18) of the pieces (16) of the film; a second folding device (19, 39, 59) for folding a second end (20) of the pieces (16) of the film; and a control and command unit (21) for controlling the cutting means, the first folding means and the second folding means, according to the characteristic dimensions of the book elements (12).
