To provide an assembly of a pneumatic tire and the rim, wherein the assembly has a sound absorbing device having durability and also having the noise reducing effect, by easily maintaining a rising state in the tire radial direction from an outer peripheral surface of the rim by centrifugal force caused by rotation of the assembly, in a tire cavity.
This assembly of the pneumatic tire and the rim forms the tire cavity 12 between the pneumatic tire and the rim by installing the pneumatic tire 10 in the rim 11. The assembly of the pneumatic tire and the rim includes one or more of sound absorbing devices 13 adhering to the rim and rising in the tire radial direction in the tire cavity by the centrifugal force caused by the rotation of the assembly. The sound absorbing device is constituted of a rubber material 14 and a sound absorbing material 15 arranged on its one end side. The rubber material is an adhesive part to the rim in its other end side, and the rubber material is formed in a structure (a bellows shape) for easily maintaining a bending state in the rising direction.
