Abstract:
PURPOSE: To keep connecting strength of a connection part of a shaft end member to a cam shaft main body excellent, reduce the diameter dimension of a journal part formed in an outer circumferential surface of the shaft end member, and reduce the sizes of a bearing and a cylinder head relating to the journal part.
CONSTITUTION: A connection part 7 of a shaft end member 5 to an end part 4 of a cam shaft main body 2 and a journal part 15 formed in an outer circumferential surface of the shaft end member 5 are juxtaposed. The journal part 15 is positioned on the outer side of the end part 4 of the cam shaft main body 2.
