Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable connecting terminals to be surely mounted using an automatic machine without depending on wire diameters by opening the upper sides of terminal storage chambers formed in a connector housing main body and in a rack frame, and enabling the connecting terminals to be fitted into the terminal storage chambers through these openings.
CONSTITUTION: Connecting terminals 28 conveyed in by an automatic machine are fitted into terminal storage grooves 13, 23 from immediately above the groove 13, the terminal storage grooves 13, 23 aligned and formed respectively in a connector housing main body 11 and in a rack frame 22. The rack frame 22 with the terminals 28 fitted therein is placed on the main body 11 into which the terminals 28 have been fitted and set, and locking claws 27 provided at the rack frame 22 are locked into locking holes 21 provided in the main body 11, so that the main body 11 is coupled to the rack frame 22. Next, the upper lid 18 of the main body is put on the rack frame 22 and locking claws 19 are locked into locking holes 26 in the rack frame 22. Therefore, the work of fitting the connecting terminals into place by means of the automatic machine can be performed smoothly and easily, and the number of assembling operations can be reduced.
