Abstract:
PURPOSE: To promote the atomization of injected fuel by keeping constant differential pressure between the pressure in a combustion chamber and assist air extending over the whole period of fuel injection.
CONSTITUTION: A pressure sensor 41 is provided on a cylinder head 3 in such a manner as to face on the interior of a combustion chamber 4. An electromagnetic proportional control valve 42 is disposed in the midway of an air conduit 26 for connecting an injector 29 to an air pump 21. According to the pressure in the combustion chamber 4 detected by the pressure sensor 41, the assist air pressure is controlled by the electromagnetic proportional control valve 42.
