To provide an assist grip capable of accurately positioning an oil damper for performing braking to turning of a grip body relative to a hinge recessed part of the grip body and a hinge and easily assembling it.
The hinge 3 is turnably pivotally supported in the hinge recessed part of the grip body 1 respectively, and a pair of inner support piece 32 and outer support piece 33 are provided on a pivot support of the hinge 3 at an interval. The turning type oil damper 8 is assembled between the inner support piece 32 and the outer support piece 33. A projection part 85 is projectedly provided on the outer peripheral part of an outer cylinder 81 of the oil damper 8, and the projection part 85 is fitted into the groove 12a provided in the hinge recessed part 12 of the grip body 1. A long circle boss 84 is projectedly provided on the end of an inner cylinder 82 of the oil damper 8, and a fitting-in part 32a for the long circle boss to be inserted and fited with the long circle boss 84 through a guide groove 32b is formed on an inner surface of the inner support piece 32. An inclination surface 32c for leading the long circle boss 84 to the guide groove 32b is formed on an opened portion of the guide groove 32b.
