Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assist rotation force transmission device of a bicycle which is easily post-fitted to an existing bicycle, can be made light, and is suitable especially to a sport-type bicycle.SOLUTION: An assist rotation force transmission device of a bicycle comprises: a power source 3; a start switch 4 which turns the power source 3 on and off; a tread pressure sensor 5 which detects tread pressure generated from force of pedaling a bicycle and dispatches a tread pressure signal which is proportional to the strength of the tread pressure; a drive roller 7 which transmits rotation force to a rear wheel tire wheel by pressure-contacting to and separating from the rear wheel tire wheel; elevating and pressing means 8 which pressure-contacts and separates the drive roller 7 to and from the rear wheel tire wheel by turning on and off of the power source 3; a motor 9 which drives the drive roller 7; an electronic speed controller 10 which supplies power from the power source 3 to the motor 9; and a control part 11 which receives the tread pressure signal from the tread pressure sensor 5 and controls the electronic speed controller 10 so that the power proportional to the tread pressure detected is supplied to the motor 9.
