Abstract:
To provide a technique for allowing even a subject person who has difficulty in moving his or her body to voluntarily take a meal.SOLUTION: An assistance system according to an aspect of the present invention includes an imaging device for acquiring a captured image including depth information; a robot device for transporting food to a subject person; and a control device for controlling an operation of the robot device. The control device calculates the position of the mouth of a subject person by analyzing the captured image obtained from the imaging device, and causes the robot device to carry food to the mouth of the subject person on the basis of a result of calculating the position of the mouth of the subject person. Then, the control device analyzes the obtained captured image to determine whether the subject person opens his or her mouth, and when it is determined that the subject person opens his or her mouth, causes the robot device to put the food into the mouth of the subject person.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
