PURPOSE: To prevent the spring of defective weft in the removal of defective weft and consequently prevent the entanglement of yarns and enable sure removal of the defective weft by using a defective weft removing apparatus to catch and draw the defective weft at the weaving end side and pull out the weft while separating from the cloth fell.

CONSTITUTION: At least one spring-inhibition member 9 is placed at a prescribed position in the direction of weaving width. A driving mechanism 5 is connected to the base of the inhibition member 9 and the tip end of the inhibition member 9 is forwarded close to the cloth fell 13 in a shed 11 in the case of extracting the defective weft.
