To provide an assisting implement for wearing socks, which enables a handicapped person or the like to safely, quickly and easily put on socks by himself or herself without depending on a caregiver in view of problems in use of a conventional assisting implement for wearing socks for the handicapped person or the like whose motion is disabled, due to complicated operation and the need to put up the feet high when putting on the socks.
The assisting implement for wearing socks is formed with a base, a foot insertion guide formed to be longitudinally openable/closable around a shaft connected to the base, and a drawing implement with a rotatable handle, formed at a shaft installed on the front side of the foot insertion guide. In an assisting method, the base and foot insertion guide of the assisting implement are covered with a sock in advance and placed under the foot. The tip of a toe is inserted in the foot insertion guide, and while slipping and inserting the foot into the base, the handle of the drawing implement is held and drawn. The base and foot insertion guide are pulled out of the sock to easily put on the sock.
