Abstract:

To provide an assisting utensil for putting on socks which can easily roll socks at the time of putting on, by which the foot part can be easily put in, and in addition, which can suppress the slipping down of the socks as well, and of which the operability is good.

This assisting utensil for putting on socks has an assisting utensil main body 14 and a string member 19. In this case, the assisting utensil main body 14 is constituted of a material having flexibility, and of which the major cross section is substantially formed into a C-shape. Then, a gap 25 through which the ankle 12 can be passed in the longitudinal direction is provided on the upper part, and the gap 25 becomes wider in the longitudinal direction from the center. When being used, a sock 11 is placed on the assisting utensil main body 14 from the front side, and the foot part 13 excepting the ankle 12, which is inserted from the rear side, is guided by the assisting utensil main body 14. The proximal ends 17 and 18 of the string member 19 are respectively fixed to both side rear parts 15 and 16 of the assisting utensil main body 14, and under a state wherein the foot part 13 is put in the assisting main body 14 on which the sock 11 is placed, the string member 19 is pulled. Then, the sock 11 is placed on the foot part 13, and the assisting utensil main body 14 is removed from the sock 11 by the string member 19.
