Abstract:
To provide an asymmetric solid catalyst which is applicable to an aqueous solvent and an organic solvent and excellent in durability.
The asymmetric solid catalyst has an optically active binaphthyl derivative, which is bonded to an inorganic solid through an organic chain, as an asymmetric ligand. The organic chain preferably contains Si. The binaphthyl derivative is preferably expressed by formula (1) (wherein R1 and R2 are each a 1-30C linear or cyclic alkyl group, 4-30C aryl group, phenyl group, substituted phenyl group, lower alky nahthyl group, pyridyl group, quinolyl group, isoquinolyl group, furfuryl group, benzofurfuryl group, thienyl group, or benzothienyl group).
