PURPOSE: To improve riding comfortableness and a cornering property without any detraction from the allowable maximum load and gripping force of tires by asymmetrically constituting the tires in such a way as to provide an outer side wall longer than an inner side wall.
CONSTITUTION: A short inner side wall 2 can increase a tire width and a grounded area, thereby increasing an allowable maximum load and a gripping force. In addition, a long outer side wall 1 can enhance a damping effect, thus obtaining preferable riding comfortableness. At the time of cornering, even though due to a centrifugal force 4 a load applied on outer tires becomes large so that the tires deform, high lateral durability enables a large cornering force. At this time, inner tires deform in the counterdirection so as to have rather low lateral durability, but by the effect of the centrifugal force, a load applied on the inner tires becomes small so as to suppress a decrease in the cornering force. This relatively increases the sum of the cornering forces of the inner and outer tires. Moreover, the inside inner diameter of a wheel 3 is large so that a brake device can be housed therein.
