Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To send control data by using a UTOPIA bus, to simplify a wiring work between packages and to reduce the number of parts and a mounting scale in an ATM communications device which sends and receives data that controls a package, etc., in the ATM communications device.
SOLUTION: This ATM communications device is internally provided with a control package 11, a controlled package 13 and a UTOPIA bus 12 connecting the control package and the controlled package, the control package includes a control cell identification bit and a controlled package address in a header of an ATM cell and sends a control cell having data controlling the controlled package to the package 13 through the bus 12 and the package 13 supervises the control cell identification bit of a ATM cell inputted through the bus 12, and controls a self-package according to the data of the control cell when the ATM cell is decided to be a control cell and the controlled package address coincides with a self-package address.
